Cat Elevator!

We don’t suggest you try this at home, or that it’s for every cat, but we do say this is one absolutely adorable video!

This is one smart kitty. She’s sick of taking the stairs to get her daily doses of fresh air and she’s trained her human well! When he hears her meow, he knows it’s time to fetch the basket to bring kitty back up for a bit of a nap or a snack. It’s pretty much the life all cats know is their right.

Now, where is my personalised elevator?

Good Afternoon, From Bond

Me & My Butler.

Bond here again. If you’ve been watching my fabulous show you’ll know things are heating up nicely, but…it does take up much of my time.

The rest of my time is spent with charities and getting ready for the upcoming cruise.

The RSVPs are pouring in, yet still no word yet from Ellen DeGeneres, but no doubt I will hear from her – she’s a major pet lover who loves to help pets and that’s what my cruise is for!

Speaking of Ellen, she owns that fantastic food company, Halo.

To help, I’ve added Halo full-time to my diet. It’s high grade, human-quality food, just what every pet needs and deserves! And what a difference I see in my energy levels and shine in my coat.

Of course, this cruise is very special, and I’m actually going to see Gordi again (an added bonus!), so I’ve taken to using the Royal Pet Club shampoos and conditioners. Nothing says luxury like organic, top-of-the-line pet products (the almond and shea butter being my favourite).

So, while I’m getting in top shape inside and out (inner beauty is just as important as the outside beauty), I’m counting down the days until my cruise…

Pet Evacuation Jacket…From Japan

pet-evacuation-jacket-japan-2

One of the reasons I love all things Japanese…

The pet evacuation jacket.

These pictures, on loan from the Japan Trend Shop, don’t really tell the whole story, although they try. They try.

The jacket and all its bits are made for both cats and dogs, and come with a convenient carry handle on the top of the jacket. I’m assuming this is for when you wish to flee (say, from a fire, earthquake, flood or the powers of Godzilla) with your pet, you can just nab hold and run. Or perhaps this is for when you need a really fancy handbag for your next red carpet visit. There’s really no end to the possibilities this handle and jacket combo can serve.

But this is more than a cool silver jacket with a handle.

It’s actually made of the same flame-retardant materials the Japanese firefighters use, and the jacket has special pockets for you to store all kinds of things you’ll need come the apocalyptic emergency.

And this truly amazing super cool Japanese pet jacket comes with a food bowl, rain hood and booties (for chemical spills or puddles?), muzzle, special gel packs that you freeze then slip into the jacket to control temperature, a bell, waterproof ID capsule and a hermatically sealed odour control bag…

If you think that’s a lot, there’s more to come! It also has rubber gloves, mini-radio, whistle, aromatic calming oil, special water packs, bandages and nutrition bars.

It retails for $468!

Of course, if this is slightly out of your price range, never fear. A good, firm emergency plan is just as good. Not as slick and well, Japanese, but good. Besides, Japanese cats might put up with being carried around by a handle when an emergency strikes, but I’m not sure any of the cats I know would allow me to do that without me bleeding profusely.

The dogs on the other hand…
