When Luke Robinson lost his beloved dog, Malcolm to cancer, no one was able to tell him why.
Frustrated by this lack of knowledge about cancer in canines, Luke did not want to let Malcolm’s valiant two year fight against that horrible disease be in vain.
So he sold his truck, grabbed a backpack and his two dogs, Murphy and Hudson and set out on a mission with a simple belief – we can find the causes of canine cancer.
Luke has taken his belief to the road in the form of a 2,000 mile walk from Austin to Boston to raise awareness, support and funding for research into canine cancer. Luke and his dogs have their very own website and people are encouraged to drop them a line of support, or a simple hello. They are grateful for donations of money and equipment and are also looking for companies to support their cause. But be aware, they are only interested in companies who share Luke’s belief in humane treatment of animals and a greener world.
And that, we say, is a very noble cause, indeed.
As of this point in time, Luke, Murphy and Hudson are well on their way to Philidelphia, where they’ll spend Thanksgiving and then they’ll be in NYC for the holidays.
