Go go Doga – For a cause.

rex - "this is the downward dog, right?"

Royal Pet Club always loves a good cause…and doing something fun and different with your dog.

Last week we mentioned Doga – yoga for you and your dog. Yes, it’s an adorable and catchy name and it’s also a fabulous thing to do, especially in this stressed, fast paced world we live in. A little time to ourselves (with our always faithful companion at our sides) while getting into shape, body and mind, is always a good thing.

You may be asking yourself where does the good cause part come into it? Well, doga is haute, doga is the thing that everyone who is anyone (and even those who aren’t) are doing, and…if you’re in NYC on December 6th, head to Animal Haven to get your Doga on, and to help raise money and awareness forĀ  cocker spaniels who’ve been abandoned.

Click here for more information on this event.

And doga away, it’s the best thing since the apple, they say.

Halle Berry – Animal Lover

two lucky pups!

Halle Berry. Oscar winner and all-round gorgeous person (who had a gorgeous baby with another gorgeous person…) loves animals.

Her love affair started when she was in the film Catwoman. Known for ‘living’ her roles, Halle Berry wanted to understand the ways of the cat. Which, if she’d asked any cat owner, anywhere, they’d have more than happy to tell her the ways of all cats…but I digress… Halle wanted to understand cats so she adopted one of the cat extras on the film (a catextra?), whom she named Playdough.

Of course this led to her adopting another cat, named Spanky.

Clearly not satisfied with her animal collection, she decided to balance it out with two pretty white Malteses, Polly and Willy. That’s them up there in the picture. Looking spoiled, shiny and healthy, not to mention happy. Hey, who wouldn’t be happy, being carried around by the legendary Halle Berry?

I wonder what organic luxury pet products she uses on her dogs to get them looking so barkingly good?

Oh, and kudos for adopting some members of her pet family. Everyone should adopt an animal.
