It’s Officially spring, but…

nbsnow_t300

It’s officially spring, but there’s still snow and slush and mud on the ground.

When it’s doggy walking time, this can certainly make a mess of both your dog – and your house. If you’ve got the kind of pup that likes a good roll around on the ground, no matter what the conditions, you’re going to end up with one dirty dog.

While bathing every day might seem like a dream-solution in times like this, it ain’t gonna happen. A better solution is more regular baths and daily wipe downs with doggy wipes.

Doggy wipes have the advantage of being quick and easy and they keep your pooch clean between baths. And they also help moisturise paws and skin.

Brush Your Dog. Every Day.

I brush my hair 100 times per day. This is why it's so beautiful.

If you own a dog you know grooming is essential to our pet’s upkeep and wellbeing. A spruced up dog not only looks good but feels good as well.

One of the easiest and  most important part of the grooming regime is brushing.

Brushing on a daily basis not only helps keep long-haired dogs burr-free, but all dogs much healthier. Brushing removes dead hair and skin, helps keep allergins down and also distributes the natural oils in the skn and fur, improving the overall health of your dog.

And brushing is really easy, too!

If you want to take it a step further, why not add an organic, top notch shampoo and conditioner set to your dog’s regular in depth grooming routine. Not only are such products pure luxury, but they make your dog look better for longer, with silky tresses and and all over, oh-so-good feel to their whole life. Best of all, it makes the daily brushing even easier.

And brushing also is a way of showing  your dog how much you care. As a pack animal, dogs respond to daily grooming and petting in such a positive, happy, and joyous way.

Grooming Your Dog

look at meeee!

Dogs benefit from grooming, and not just the long haired hippy types, either.

Not only do they look better after a nice shampooing and brushing, but they feel better, too. Brushing helps distribute the natural oils and keeps coats stay shiny in between dog salon visits.

If your dog has long hair, it can often look dull and get matted. A lot of people think it’s easier to simply get the dog shaved. But this is a bad idea. Shaving exposes the dog to the elements, especially the sun (which can lead to sunburn). And remember, dogs aren’t meant to go naked. They like wearing fur. It protects them, keeps them warm and looks good.

If you’re worried about dealing with unruly long hair then why not try some organic or luxury dog shampoos, conditioners and other supplies. The right product can make your dog’s fur silky and smooth and miraculously knot and burr free.

These kind of quality products have the added bonus of keeping your dog’s skin nice and moisturised and are often created to help even the most sensitive or problematic dog skin.

So there you go. Get yourself a nice brush, and some top notch pet grooming supplies and you’ll be the talk of the town (or at least the doggy park).
