Our Story

We started this company with one simple desire: to enhance the lives of all animal-kind.

Prince Lorenzo's Royal Treatment was founded by Prince Lorenzo Borghese, whose family has been in the cosmetics industry for over fifty years. His father, Prince Francesco, began his career at Revlon in Italy and then joined forces with Max Factor before moving the family to the United States for an employment opportunity at the Mennen Company. He then started his own company, La Parfumerie, Inc. which became one of the largest distributors of prestigious European cosmetics including brands such as Orlane, Fendi, Perlier, Kelemata and La Perla.

For his 21st birthday, Lorenzo was gifted with Belle, a cute Black Labrador puppy. Like so many dogs, Belle had sensitive skin that often became dry and flaky. Lorenzo went on a mission to solve Belle’s problems, only to find that many of the existing pet products did more harm than good. He went on a personal journey to develop his own pet-friendly product line. With the help of his family, one of Italy’s top human cosmetics manufacturer, world-renowned veterinarians, and other pet experts, Royal Treatment was eventually born in 2003. Made from the finest organic and natural ingredients, all product formulas are made with a pet’s health and happiness in mind.

We believe in good things

We believe in meaningful relationships with family, home, friends, and animal-kind.
Like us, our pets deserve goodness and so our products are purposeful – they are kind to your pet and contribute to the betterment of animal, society and environment.

Prince Lorenzo’s Royal Treatment has partnered with Animal Aid USA, a not-for-profit animal rights and rescue agency, to provide funding to animal shelters in low-income areas. A portion of Prince Lorenzo’s Royal Treatment’s proceeds will be funneled to these shelters and specifically allocated to free spay and neuter programs for dogs.

Prince Lorenzo’s Royal Treatment will donate 5% of its profits as well as $2 for every new customer to support this spay and neuter program through Animal Aid USA’s veterinary partners across the United States.
